Why would you like to serve on the Planning Commission? I have served on the Planning Commission as an alternate and would love to have the opportunity to be reappointed. When initially applied to the Planning Commission, I said that it is the first line of defense, figuratively speaking, in ensuring that our City's land-use decisions are equitable, our General Plan is upheld, and that the community we serve benefits. I recently attended the Planning Commission Academy to ensure I equipped myself with the right tools to support my role as a commissioner. In addition to this appointed position, my job requires deep knowledge of the City's planning process and presence in the community, working 1-1 with homeowners. I am also involved in community groups focused on environmental justice and county-wide housing. The opportunity to serve on the Planning Commission further grounds my commitment to the community.

Why would you like to serve on the Planning Commission? Please describe briefly why you want to serve on the Board, Commission, or Committee you choose, and what you hope to accomplish as a member:
To preserve affordable housing, add additional affordable housing (BMRs), and prevent resident displacement.
Please list 3 issues facing the City that you feel the Advisory body should address:
(1)Traffic and (2) parking impacts in upcoming projects should not be considered separately but altogether.
Three projects will affect the University Avenue corridor: two at Woodland Ave, one at Donohoe, and one at Bay Road. Plus we need to leverage all projects to provide the (3) maximum community benefits.

Why would you like to serve on the Planning Commission? I would like to serve as a City of East Palo Alto Planning Commissioner to be a voice for the members of the community and advisory for the City Council.
I have been instrumental in community engagement as it pertains to planning processes for development, in pressing for Commissioner email to avoid potential legal issues and as a conduit for between the community and the planning department. I would continue to serve the community and the Council in the same way.

Why would you like to serve on the Planning Commission? I know the process of Planning. I've had 40 yrs experience in Real Estate. Although not currently on the Planning Commission. I have attended many of Their Meetings and know the process. I have a great sense of what is at Hand. I know The situation of formulating planning. I have had to use this while actuating Developments that I have worked on. One was on Buchanan Court, East Palo Alto. In my career of Real Estate here in EPA, I know the Community. I've been on every plot of land in this 2.5miles. I have a sense of Community and I know how to perform Due Diligence. Because I was Train in doing so and Fully invested in Ethnic's. I have had No conflicts over my Decades of operating. I've lived in the Community since 1955. I know the East Palo Alto very well. Am use to dealing with professionals, in a professional manner. When I am dealt with on a even plain. I respect the process. I like anything related to real estate. I understand all of it, upside down and sideways. I want to give to the City my expertise that I have learned, in design and Cultural Traditions, that should be important.
