RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INCREASE RICOH DIGITAL
SERVICES CONTRACT AMOUNT AND EXTEND PURCHASE ORDER TERM WHEREAS, the City of East Palo Alto entered into a 3-year lease agreement on September 26, 2016, with Ricoh Digital Services (Ricoh) for six copiers located throughout City offices; and
WHEREAS, the original lease agreement included a single 2-year extension which expired on September 26, 2021; and
WHEREAS, on January 18, 2022, staff requested the City Council ratify $17,605.36 in payments but did not seek authority for additional service or to extend the term; and WHEREAS, because a new copier contract and service did not begin until May 31, 2022, services from Ricoh continued and need to be paid; and WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds on existing purchase orders to pay the remaining balance due Ricoh.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO authorizes the City Manager to increase Ricoh Digital Services contract and purchase order term through June 30, 2022.
