A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A FIFTH AMENDMENT TO THE STAFF AUGMENTATION CONTRACT WITH CSG CONSULTANTS, INC., TO INCREASE THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY $100,000 FOR A NEW NOT-TO-EXCEED TOTAL OF $440,000 FOR
PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES PERTAINING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN
REVIEW, STAFF AUGMENTATION, SURVEY, SUBDIVISION AND PARCEL MAP REVIEW WHEREAS, CSG Consultants, Inc. (CSG) has been providing on-call engineering support services to the City of East Palo Alto Public Works Department since 2018; and WHEREAS, CSG’s services include staff augmentation during staffing vacancies, capital improvement project design, constructability reviews, NPDES stormwater permit compliance/ inspections, general survey services, and subdivision and parcel map review in accordance with Senate Bill 35 (SB 35) for subdivision and parcel map compliance; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Department currently has two vacancies in the Engineering Division with over $25 million in capital improvement projects under various phases of design/construction; and
WHEREAS, a fifth contract amendment with CSG is requested in the amount of $100,000 to assist with engineering support services under the existing staff augmentation contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO HEREBY authorizes the City Manager to execute a fifth amendment to the Staff Augmentation contract with CSG Consultants, Inc., in a form approved by the City Attorney, to increase the contract amount by $100,000 for a new not-to-exceed total of $440,000 for professional engineering services pertaining capital improvement plan review, staff augmentation, survey, subdivision and parcel map review.
