RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
ACCEPTING THE 2021 STREET SWEEPING PROJECT, CIP-SD-04, AUTHORIZING THE
RECORDATION OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND
RELEASING THE CONTRACT RETENTION BALANCE
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2020, the City Council approved the Plans and Specifications for the 2021 Street Sweeping Signage Project and authorized the City Manager to solicit bids for the construction of the project; and
WHEREAS, on April 20, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 54-2021, which authorized the City Manager to execute a construction contract with Chrisp Company Inc., in an amount of $112,640.00, and establish a construction contingency of $11,264.00, totaling the construction budget of $123,904.00; and
WHEREAS, construction on the project began in October 2021 and was successfully completed the end of 2021 with additional work subsequently added to the project and completed in summer 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO HEREBY accepts the 2021 Street Sweeping Signage Project, CIP-SD-04, authorizes the recordation of the Notice of Completion with the County of San Mateo and releases the contract retention balance.
