RESOLUTION NO. XX – 2023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE HARPER &
ASSOCIATES PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT, IN A FORM APPROVED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY, EXTENDING THE AGREEMENT TERM THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2024 WHEREAS, on March 16, 2021, the City Council of the City of East Palo Alto adopted Resolution No. 03-2021 awarding a contract to Harper and Associates for the implementation of certain grants accounting and reporting policies and procedures; and WHEREAS, the original agreement with Harper and Associates has expired on December 31, 2021 and extending the agreement is critical to accept additional grants and meet related compliance requirements; and
WHEREAS, the recent grant application trends support a professional consultancy project to assess, review, and revise current grants policies and procedures to ensure a sound and comprehensive grants management program for the expanded and more complex grant programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO HEREBY authorizes the City Manager (or designee) to execute Amendment No. 1, in a form approved by the City Attorney, to the Harper & Associates Professional Services Agreement extending the agreement term through December 31, 2024.
