A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH GHIRARDELLI ASSOCIATES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,000 FOR ON-CALL ENGINEERING INSPECTION SERVICES THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2025
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department requires regular public works inspection services for its Capital Improvement Program as well as for development projects and encroachment permits; and WHEREAS, on May 16, 2017, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 4849 approving a prequalified list of consulting firms for on-call engineering services; and WHEREAS, on April 19, 2022, the City Council adopted Resolution No.44-2022, authorizing the City Manager to release a request for proposals for on-call engineering inspection services; and WHEREAS, on May 11, 2022, City staff received three proposals and Ghirardelli Associates as the highest rates proposer; and
WHEREAS, City staff reviewed Ghirardelli Associates’ qualifications and recommends entering into a contract for on-call engineering inspection services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO HEREBY:
1. Finds the foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporated by reference into this action; and
2. Awards and authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with Ghirardelli Associates in an amount not to exceed $100,000 for on-call engineering inspection services through December 31, 2025.
