A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
APPROVING THE DESIGN OF THE UNIVERSITY AVENUE AND WEEKS STREET 12-INCH WATER MAIN PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE THE PROJECT FOR
CONSTRUCTION BIDS
WHEREAS, the City’s 2022 Water System Master Plan identified priority water infrasture projects to be completed within five years; and
WHEREAS, the University Avenue and Weeks Street 12-Inch Water Main Projects are both priority projects identified in the Water System Master Plan, and are crucial to bring additional flow capacity throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, the 100% design plans for the University Avenue and Weeks Street 12-Inch Water Main Projects are complete; and
WHEREAS, upon approval of the design of the projects, staff will bid the projects as one bid package in order to get better bid pricing and streamline the construction phase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO HEREBY:
1. Finds the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and are incorporated by this reference into this action; and
2. Approves the design and the funding strategy including the related transfer of the University Avenue and Weeks Street 12-Inch Water Main Project; and
3. Authorizes the City Manager to advertise the project for construction bids. 2 of 2
