A PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF AUGUST 6-12, 2023, AS
NATIONAL HEALTH CENTER WEEK AND CONGRATULATING THE
RAVENSWOOD FAMILY HEALTH NETWORK (RFHN) FOR THEIR
OUTSTANDING WORK IN THE COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, the Ravenswood Health Clinic (RFHN) has been an indispensable pillar of health and wellness, providing comprehensive medical services, preventive care, and health education to the residents of East Palo Alto and its surrounding areas; and
WHEREAS, National Health Center Week serves as an opportune moment to celebrate and acknowledge the significant contributions of community health centers, such as the RFHN, in promoting healthier and happier lives; and
WHEREAS, the City of East Palo Alto recognizes the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of the healthcare professionals, staff, and volunteers at RFHN in safeguarding the health and well-being of our community members; and
WHEREAS, RFHN has consistently demonstrated its commitment to inclusivity, compassion, and innovation in delivering culturally competent and patient-centered care; and WHEREAS, the City of East Palo Alto recognizes the invaluable role of RFHN in reducing health disparities, fostering community resilience, and enhancing overall quality of life for our residents; and WHEREAS, the mission of RFHN is to improve the health of the community by providing culturally sensitive, integrated primary and preventive health care to all, regardless of ability to pay or immigration status, and collaborating with community partners to address the social determinants of health, and WHEREAS, The Ravenswood Family Health Network Clinic has continued to serve the city of East Palo Alto by providing accessible, affordable healthcare services, disease prevention, education, and by contributing significantly to the overall well-being and health of the East Palo Alto community.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of East Palo Alto do hereby proclaim August 6-12, 2023, as National Health Center Week in honor of the clinic's exemplary service and positive impact on the well-being of our community and call upon all residents to take part in celebrating and supporting Ravenswood Health Network Clinic during this week of recognition and to extend our deepest gratitude to the healthcare professionals, staff, and volunteers whose dedication continues to inspire and uplift us all.
