RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council determine a process by which a consultant will be chosen to provide an independent third-party financial review of the City's finances.

SUBJECT: Third-Party Financial Review
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council determine a process by which a consultant will be chosen to provide an independent third-party financial review of the City's finances.
BACKGROUND:
On September 13, 2022, the City Council directed staff to seek an independent third-party to determine if the City, through either expenditure savings or uncaptured revenue, can generate approximately $13 million in additional General Fund revenue. Staff believes it would be appropriate for either the full City Council or a City Council sub-committee to review the Request for Qualifications/Proposals and select the firm to perform the work. During the agenda item, staff will present the pros and cons of each of these options.
