The El Centro City Council met in special session on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, El Centro City Hall, 1275 Main Street, El Centro, California for an English informational meeting.
Spanish informational meeting started at 1:14 p.m. Public and Staff in attendance inside and outside Council Chambers practiced social distancing. The meetings were also viewed by the public through Livestream and Facebook Live.
PRESENT: Council: Viegas-Walker, Oliva, Cardenas-Singh, Marroquin City Clerk Wyles, City Manager Piedra, City Attorney Evans ABSENT: Council: Garcia, Viegas-Walker (left meeting at 1:11 pm) Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America was led by Mayor Pro-Tem Cardenas-Singh and Invocation was given by Mayor Oliva.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Informational updates on COVID 19 Coronavirus and services available were made by Janette Angulo, Director, Imperial County Public Health Department; Dr. Adolph Edward, CEO, El Centro Regional Medical Center; Cedric Ceseña; Interim Fire Chief, El Centro Fire Department; Brian Johnson, Chief of Police El Centro Police Department; Monica from El Centro Regional Medical Center; Ruben Martel, Records Supervisor, El Centro Police Department; Jesus Escobar, County Supervisor, County of Imperial.
All presentations were made in English and Spanish. Informational only. No action taken.
All Comments/concerns received through email, Facebook Live or Zoom were answered by City Council, Staff or Representatives.

With no action coming from closed session and no further business to be discussed, the English meeting was adjourned at 1:11 p.m. Spanish meeting started at 1:11 p.m. and was adjourned at 2:12 p.m. ______________________________
