Notice is hereby given that the Mayor of the City of El Centro has called a Special Meeting of the El Centro City Council to consider the item(s) on this agenda.
THIS MEETING WILL BE CONDUCTED VIRTUALLY ONLY PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE BROWN ACT (Govt. Code Section 54953(e)).
COUNCIL MEMBERS, STAFF AND THE PUBLIC WILL ATTEND BY TELECONFERENCE.
Any member of the public is invited to submit public comments AND may, but is not required, to do so in advance of the meeting to be answered at the meeting. Please email your questions to [email protected] or call 760-337-4515 by September 27, 2022.
Any member of the public wishing to address the City Council during the meeting may do so by using the conference number provided on the agenda. At the time the Mayor asks for comments, please raise your hand and your name will be called.

Any person wishing to address the City Council on any matter on this agenda, is asked to complete a “Speakers Slip” and submit it to the City Clerk prior to the start of the meeting. Unless the Mayor extends the time, there is a three minute time limit for each public comment. No comments on non-agenda items will be head at this Special Meeting.

EL CENTRO REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Pursuant to Govt. Code Section 37606.1(b), for the purposes only of discussion and deliberation on reports involving hospital trade secrets as defined in Civil Code Section 3426.1(d) which, if prematurely disclosed, would create the probability of depriving the hospital of a substantial economic benefit. There will be discussion of three (3) items: hospital service, hospital programs and hospital facilities.
ANTICIPATED LITITGATION BY THE CITY
Significant Exposure to Litigation Against the City pursuant to Govt. Code Section 54956.9(d)(4). A point has been reached where, in the opinion of the City Council on the advice of its legal counsel, based on existing facts and circumstances, there is a significant possibility of litigation initiated by City.
There is one (1) potential case.
