The El Centro City Council met in special session on Monday, August 1, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. in Conference Room A, 1275 Main Street, El Centro, California.
PRESENT: Council: Carter, Cardenas-Singh, Marroquin, Garcia City Clerk Wyles, Interim City Manager Ceseña, City Attorney Martyn Evans ABSENT: Council: Oliva (arrived at 12:04 p.m.)

CITY COUNCIL CLOSED SESSION
Moved by Garcia, second by Marroquin, to adjourn into closed session at 12:02 p.m. for:
ANTICIPATED LITIGATION
A point has been reached where, in the opinion of the City Council upon the advice of its legal counsel, and based upon existing facts and circumstances, there is a significant possibility of initiation of litigation against the City pursuant to Govt. Code Section 54956.9(d)(2) or that the City will initiate litigation pursuant to Govt.
Code Section 54956.9(d)(4).

CITY ATTORNEY REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION:
Pursuant to Govt. Code 54957.1 which is part of the Brown Act addresses public records of decisions made during closed sessions. I have reviewed the requirements of that section, and no reportable action was taken on the two items considered. Therefore, this is a written report that has no reportable action was taken, as allowed by Section 54957.1(b).
