The El Centro City Council met in special session on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 5 p.m. in Council Chambers, El Centro City Hall, 1275 Main Street, El Centro, California for the purpose of certification of November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election, Administering of Oaths of Office to newly elected Council Members and Reorganization of the City Council.
PRESENT: Council: Cardenas-Singh, Oliva, Marroquin, Garcia, Carter City Clerk Wyles, City Manager Ceseña, City Attorney Martyn ABSENT: None
Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America was led by Council Member Garcia Invocation was given by Pastor Joe Conner, New Bethel Baptist Church of Brawley.

RECOGNITION OF OUTGOING MAYOR SYLVIA MARROQUIN
1. Presentation of Mayor’s Plaque by Mayor Pro-Tem Martha Cardenas-Singh to outgoing Mayor Sylvia Marroquin recognizing her services as Mayor for 2023-2024.
2. Presentation of Album of Events by Interim City Manager Cedric Ceseña, to outgoing Mayor Sylvia Marroquin for her year of service as Mayor.
