2022 BUILDING CODE ADOPTION
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2022 – 7:00 p.m.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the El Cerrito City Council will conduct public hearings to consider adoption of and local modification of the 2022 California Code of Regulations, Title 24, also referred to as the California Building Standards Code(CSBC) that includes the Green Building Code, Building Code, Residential Code, Existing Building Code, Fire Code, and Property Maintenance Code to include the 2021 International Property Maintenance Code.
This project is exempt from environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3), Review for Exemptions – General Rule, in that it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility for these actions to have a significant effect on the environment.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that said hearings will be held on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., and Tuesday, November 1
st, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., or thereafter in the City Council Chambers, located at El Cerrito City Hall, 10890 San Pablo Avenue and using the video conferencing platform Zoom. If public health conditions do not allow for meeting in person, the meeting will be conducted by video conference only, in compliance with the Brown Act, as amended by Assembly Bill 361 (2021). Please refer to the meeting agenda to determine whether the meeting will be in person and by video conference or by video conference only.

FIRE HAZARD REDUCTION – COST HEARING ABATEMENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the El Cerrito City Council will conduct a public hearing for fire hazard reduction to consider adopting a resolution confirming the cost of abatement of public nuisance conditions resulting from the presence of weeds, rubbish, litter or other flammable material on private properties designated in Exhibit A to the resolution as authorized by El Cerrito Municipal Code Chapter 16.26.
