NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS – EL CERRITO CITY COUNCIL
FIRE HAZARD REDUCTION DECLARATION HEARING
AND
FIRE HAZARD COST HEARING
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2023 – 6:00 p.m.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the El Cerrito City Council will conduct a public hearing to consider adopting a resolution declaring that weeds, rubbish, litter, or other flammable material on certain real property constitutes a public nuisance; and adopting a resolution overriding objections by property owners and ordering the City Manager or their designee to abate certain public nuisances pursuant to El Cerrito Municipal Code Chapter 16.26.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the El Cerrito City Council will conduct a public hearing for fire hazard reduction to consider adopting a resolution confirming the cost of abatement of public nuisance conditions resulting from the presence of weeds, rubbish, litter or other flammable material on private properties designated in Exhibit A to the resolution as authorized by El Cerrito Municipal Code Chapter 16.26.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that said hearings will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 6:00 p.m., or thereafter in the City Council Chambers, located at El Cerrito City Hall, 10890 San Pablo Avenue and using the video conferencing platform Zoom.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL CERRITO AMENDING EL CERRITO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 2.04.070 MODIFYING THE SALARY FOR MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM $441 TO $650 PER MONTH TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2023 – 6:00 PM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the El Cerrito City Council will hear a proposed ordinance to consider amending 2.04.070 to modify the monthly salary for members of the City Council from $441 to $650 per month.
