NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS – EL CERRITO CITY COUNCIL
FIRE HAZARD REDUCTION HEARING
FIRE HAZARD COST HEARING
TEMPORARY OUTDOOR DINING AND RETAIL PROGRAM URGENCY ORDINANCE TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2024 – 6:00 P.M.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the El Cerrito City Council will conduct public hearings to consider the following:
1) Public Hearing to consider adopting a resolution declaring that weeds, rubbish, litter, or other flammable material on certain real property constitutes a public nuisance; and adopting a resolution overriding objections by property owners and ordering the City Manager or their designee to abate certain public nuisances pursuant to El Cerrito Municipal Code Chapter
16.26. 2) Public hearing for fire hazard reduction to consider adopting a resolution confirming the cost of abatement of public nuisance conditions resulting from the presence of weeds, rubbish, litter or other flammable material on private properties designated in Exhibit A to the resolution as authorized by El Cerrito Municipal Code Chapter 16.26.
3) Public hearing to consider making finding and adopting an urgency ordinance extending a temporary outdoor dining and retail program pursuant to Government Code section 36934. The proposed urgency ordinance is evaluated to be exempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3).
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that said hearings will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., or thereafter in the City Council Chambers, located at El Cerrito City Hall, 10890 San Pablo Avenue and using the video conferencing platform Zoom. Additional information can be found in the meeting materials at www.el-cerrito.org/CouncilMeetingMaterials available at least 72 hours before the meeting.
