1. CALL TO ORDER: 5:00 p.m.

3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA:

4. CLOSED SESSION:
This is the time set aside for interested members of the public to address the City Council on agendized Closed Session matters. Subject to the commenting procedures described above, the City Council will allow interested members of the public to address the City Council on agendized Closed Session matters prior to holding Closed Session. Each speaker will be given a single speaker time allotment of three (3) continuous minutes total to address the Council on any or all closed session items of business. The City Council shall be under no obligation to recognize a speaker who submits a speaker card after the City Council has gone into Closed Session.
Councilmember Herrera invited members of the public to address the City Council on Closed Session Item 4.1.
Julio Ramirez – Spoke about the closed session item.
Bob Welemin – Spoke about the closed session item.
The City Council recessed into Closed Session at approximately 5:05 p.m. Mayor Pro Tem Dr. Ruedas and Councilmember Martinez Muela joined the City Council in Closed Session. Mayor Ancona was absent. The City Council reconvened from Closed Session at approximately 5:20 p.m.
4.1 Closed Session Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(4) – Conference with Legal Counsel – Initiation of Litigation – One (1) Matter.
5. CITY ATTORNEY REPORT OUT FROM CLOSED SESSION.
The City Council is back in open session having met in closed session all members being present excluding Mayor Ancona. City Council gave direction for the City to participate in the Kroger National Settlement Lawsuit. Paperwork will be filed with the settlement administrator. That concludes the report.

6. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 5:21 p.m.
The next Regular Meeting of the City Council will be held on August 6, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
