City Clerk Lindgren clarified that the staff evaluations were conducted solely by the City Clerk, no review committee was convened, and the evaluations were posted with the maps on the redistricting web page. The naming conventions of the maps originated from the map authors, as the maps were processed their references relied on the order submitted, and then identification numbers assigned by the Districtr program.
The City Council deliberated on the matter, noting a primary goal was to minimize displacement of voters between districts. The City Council directed Maps 11 and 12 be selected as draft final maps to return for review on March 23, 2022, and to include a variation of Map 11 moving the District 4 boundary east of Bruceville Road to shift south from Whitelock Parkway down to Poppy Ridge Road, and to move the boundary south of Poppy Ridge Road and east of Bruceville Road to include the New Growth Area bounded by the Big Horn Road extension and the Southeast Policy Area.
