PUBLIC COMMENT:

Randy Bekker did not support Measure E and he believed this committee proposal would not provide adequate oversight nor community input. Mr. Bekker believed the committee should bring the community together on use of Measure E, and as currently presented it did not give the citizens a voice.

The City Council deliberated on the matter, noting the decision power remains with the City Council but the committee was designed to provide input, oversight , and a public forum to continue participation. It was noted w orkshops were scheduled throughout the month of February for community input, and the City would continue to partner with the Cosumnes Community Services District (CCSD) throughout the administration of Measure E funds.

Vice Mayor Spease received clarification that as the City moved forward in creating a Memorandum of Understanding with the CCSD, there was nothing to preclude the CCSD from establishing their own oversight committee.
