PUBLIC COMMENT:
Guadalupe Ramirez requested on the eastern side of the project site the 25 foot landscape easement not have access to the general public ( nor be utilized for storage), trees should be planted in the area, cameras should monitor the full site, the masonry wall on the eastern side should be a minimum six feet in height, and the emergency vehicle access gate should be solid and not have a crawl space that children could crawl through.
Ms. Kirchgessner confirmed the 25 foot landscape easement would not be accessible to the public, there would be landscaping (with trees spaced every 30 feet planted near the wall) and bio-retention facilities (prohibiting use of the easement for storage), a masonry wall was planned for the eastern side, cameras were planned to be placed throughout the site, emergency access was restricted and would prohibit public access, and the final design of the emergency access gate would be approved by the Planning Department to the satisfaction of the City and the Cosumnes Community Services District Fire Department.

Council Member Robles expressed dissatisfaction with locating storage facilities in proximity to residential uses, believing there were better integrated uses for limited open spaces and infill sites to benefit surrounding communities.
City Manager Behrmann noted the site for the storage facility was identified and proposed by the project applicant.
