CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL
Mayor Singh-Allen called the special City Council meeting of August 20, 2026, to order at 3:00 p.m.
Present: Mayor
Singh-Allen, Vice Mayor Suen, and Council Members Brewer and Spease.
Absent: Counci
l Member Robles (Council Member Robles arrived at 3:05 p.m.).

No. 2.1 : Consider a resolution reciting the facts of the results of the 2026 Nomination Period in relation to the November 3, 2026, General Municipal Election, and appoint the lone nominees for the offices of Mayor and Council Member – District 2.
RECOMMENDATI
ON
Adopt resolution reciting the facts of the results of the 2026 Nomination Period, and make the following appointments, with terms of office to commence December 9, 2026:
1) Bobbie Singh-Allen to the office of Mayor for a two-year term, and 2) Rod Brewer to the office of Council Member – District 2 for a four-year term.

uen/Spease to adopt Resolution No. 2026-173 reciting the facts of the results of the 2026 Nomination Period, and make the following appointments, with terms of office to commence December 9, 2026: 1) Bobbie Singh-Allen to the office of Mayor for a two-year term, and 2) Rod Brewer to the office of Council Member – District 2 for a four- year term. The motion passed by the following vote: Ayes: 5 (Singh-Allen, Suen, Brewer, Robles, Spease); Noes: 0; Absent: 0.
