Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into A Professional Services Contract With Urban Planning Partners (UPP) In An Amount Not To Exceed $100,000 For On-Call Contract Planning Services Including California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Analysis For Miscellaneous Projects On An On-Call Basis And Appropriating $100,000 In Expenditures To Division 1725, “Planning Reimbursables”, Account 80050, Professional Services, And $100,000 In Revenues To Account 58760, Planning Reimbursements
WHEREAS, the City is in a need of contract planning services on an on-call basis for various small projects for a variety of services including photo-simulation studies, archeological reviews and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) related studies; and
WHEREAS, the City finds that specialized knowledge, skills, and training are necessary to render the services contemplated under this Contract; and WHEREAS, based on their qualifications and previous experience, the City has determined that Urban Planning Partners (UPP) is the best qualified firm to offer a variety of planning services; and
WHEREAS, UPP submitted a proposal on October 4, 2021; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that UPP is qualified by training and experience to render such services, and the City wishes to retain UPP to provide these services; and
WHEREAS, the public interest will be served by this Contract; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Contract with Urban Planning Partners, Inc. in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, for an amount not to exceed $100,000; and, be it, further
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute amendments to the Professional Services Contract with Urban Planning Partners, Inc., as may be necessary to deliver contract planning services, provided such amendments do not materially increase the City’s financial obligations thereunder; and, be it, further RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby appropriates $100,000 in expenditures to Division 1725, “Planning Reimbursables”, Account 80050, Professional Services, and adds $100,000 in revenues to Account 58760, Planning Reimbursements.
