Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing Application For, And Receipt Of, Alameda County Area Agency On Aging Supportive Services Program For Senior Center Activities And Authorizing The City Manager To Execute Funding Agreements Through June 30, 2026, With The Alameda County Area Agency On Aging And To Appropriate Any Such Funds To Account Number 5460-51100
WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville has long provided programs for older adults through the Emeryville Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, the Emeryville Senior Center desires to continue such services to assist older adults in the community with a special emphasis on low-income minority elders; and WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville desires to apply for a grant from the Alameda County Area Agency on Aging for services to seniors through FY2022-2026; and WHEREAS, a funding agreement will be prepared for each of these four years; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby authorizes the application for, and receipt of, Alameda County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) program funds for senior center activities and authorizes the City Manager to execute funding agreements through June 30, 2026, and any amendments thereto, with the Alameda County Area Agency on Aging and to appropriate any such funds to account number 5460-51100.
