Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Appointing _____ As Business Representative To Serve On The Budget Advisory Committee For A Term Commencing Immediately And Ending Either June 30, 2022, Or _____ And Amending The FY2021-22 Local Roster Of Boards, Commissions And Committees Accordingly
WHEREAS, the Budget Advisory Committee has an open vacancy for one Business Representative with a term scheduled to end June 30, 2022; and WHEREAS, the vacancy on the Budget Advisory Committee was announced and noticed pursuant to the terms of Government Code Section 54970 et. seq. (the “Maddy Act”); and WHEREAS, the City Council may deem to offer the appointee a one-time two-year term extension based on the brevity of this current appointment; and WHEREAS, the City Council received applications from community members interested in serving on the Budget Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds that _____ possesses the necessary qualifications to serve on the Budget Advisory Committee; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that _____ is hereby appointed as Business Representative to serve on the Budget Advisory Committee for a term commencing immediately and ending either June 30, 2022, or _____, as directed by the Council; and, be it, further
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the FY2021-22 Local Roster of Boards, Commissions and Committees is hereby amended to include the aforementioned appointment.
