ADDITIONAL, INFORMATION: BICYCLE COMMITEE APPLICATION
I'm curcutly a Realto:, having, worked in the East Bay for over seventeen years. I'm arrently Marvin Cardens in Kensington. While in high school, and as my first job in Berkeley I vorced ic bicgile shops. Tve done a lot of bike commuting in the past, and try to go to my nice up in Kencington at Least oncon week on my bike. This does prove to be difficult, what with neecing a car to show houses. My highest educational level is a B.A, in Great Books from the Univerity of Noce Dane in 1975.
About a mond after moving to Emeryville, our neighborhood started the Greenway planning, which hus continued since. We like to think: that we're helping make the town a little more livechle, and preventing naway development.
I've beca in conter with a few city employees over the last couple of years, wondering why there seamed not to be muda planning regarding various traffic issues, especially bicycle access aard paths. Hopefully it will be possible to include more altenative transportation in the nix, ind make it more appealing for bicyiles also. My other interest is in safety, making sure the local cids ave belmets and brales that work. Emeryville's a flat city with good transportation access, and I see more people on bikes all the time. There's no reason it couldn't be the bicycle cotenute capital of Northern Califomia,
Sincerely
Tom Mode
