Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Consenting To The Amendment Of The Pay And Benefits Plan For Unrepresented Employees Effective July 16, 2022
WHEREAS, the Management of Emeryville Services Authority (MESA) desires to provide unrepresented employees with an employee compensation and benefits program; and WHEREAS, a periodic update of compensation and benefits for unrepresented employees employed under MESA will serve to attract and retain employees; and WHEREAS, the MESA desires to maintain proper classification and compensation of unrepresented employees based on assigned duties; and
WHEREAS, on May 3, 2022, Resolution MA22-54 updated the established comprehensive Pay and Benefits Plan for Unrepresented Employees to ensure the efficient administration of the plan while enhancing the agency’s ability to effectively communicate the competitive pay and benefit package provided to employees; and WHEREAS, non-benefitted temporary and non-management benefitted pay rates associated with unrepresented classifications were separately updated in past years, and, for the most efficient management of unrepresented classifications, shall be incorporated in the Pay and Benefits Plan for Unrepresented Employees in conformance with pay and benefits provided to other bargaining unit groups; and
WHEREAS, Appendix B has been added to the existing Unpresented Pay and Benefits plan to capture the non-benefitted temporary and non-management benefitted pay rates associated with unrepresented classifications; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Management of Emeryville Services Authority adopted this resolution on July 19, 2022; and
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby consents to the amendment of the comprehensive Pay and Benefits Plan for Unrepresented Employees including Appendix B effective July 16, 2022; and
