Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into An Agreement By And Between The County Of Alameda And The City Of Emeryville For The Purpose Of Carrying Out The Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) For Fiscal Year 2022-23, Amending The Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Operating Budget Of The CDBG Fund (Fund No. 205) To Increase Revenues And Expenditures By $33,081 And Transfer $15,500 From (Fund 205, Account 88430 To Accounts 71040-72250)
WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville (“City”) desires to participate in the Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) Program under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City currently participates in the CDBG Program as an Urban County city, per the Cooperation Agreement by and between the City and the County of Alameda (“County”), dated July 1, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that the City’s share of CDBG funds for Fiscal Year 2021-22 is $82,015; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire that the County continue administering the entirety of the City’s CDBG Program and expending the City’s CDBG funds for eligible activities on behalf of the City; and
WHEREAS, an annual agreement with the County has been prepared and specifies the City’s CDBG allocation for the 2022-23 Fiscal Year and the purpose of said funds; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into said agreement, in substantial form as attached hereto as Exhibit A, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby amends the Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 increasing revenues to the CDBG Fund (Fund No. 205 Account 51400) by $33,081 to $48,581, and increasing the expenditure appropriations for Salaries and Benefits (Fund No. 205, Accounts 71040-72250) by $6,606, transferring $15,500 from (Fund 205, Account 88430 to Accounts 71040-72250), and for Professional Services (Fund No. 205, Account 80050) from $0 to $26,475.
