Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the above-referenced ordinance, amending Chapter 4 of Title 5 of the Emeryville Municipal Code, “Cabarets and Dances”.
Discussion
The City Council adopted the first reading of the attached ordinance on October 18, 2022 with no changes, other than to delete the reference on page 2 to the October 13, 2022 meeting of the Budget and Governance Committee, which did not occur. The staff report for the October 18, 2022 City Council meeting, which provides a detailed explanation of the proposed ordinance, is attached for reference (see Attachment 1).
