Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into A Professional Services Contract With KNN Public Finance, LLC, For A Total Amount Not To Exceed $56,000 For Municipal Advisory Services To Assist With Implementation Of The $50 Million Measure C General Obligation (GO) Bond Program
WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville desires to address the shortage of affordable housing and wants all residents to be able to live in safe, decent, affordable homes; and WHEREAS, a majority of Emeryville voters indicated agreement with those goals through its approval of the issuance of $50 Million Measure C General Obligation (GO) Bonds on June 5, 2018; and
WHEREAS, The City Finance Department issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) on July 19, 2022, for Municipal Advisor Services to assist the City with implementation of the Measure C Bond Program; and
WHEREAS, seven firms responded to the RFP by the deadline of August 19, 2022; and WHEREAS, City staff formed an assessment and interview team who selected KNN Public Finance, LLC as the most qualified firm to provide the services requested by the City; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with KNN Public Finance, LLC for a total not to exceed $56,000, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute amendments to the contract with KNN Public Finance, LLC as may be necessary to effectuate its purpose, provided such amendments do not substantially increase the City’s obligations thereunder.
