Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Amending The City Council Rules of Procedure To Discontinue The Role Of Council Member Liaisons To Emeryville Community Advisory Committees/Commissions And Amending Department Head Attendance Requirements At City Council Meetings WHEREAS, on April 18, 2017, and December 10, 2018, the City Council adopted Resolution Nos. 17-54 and 18-167 reinstating the practice of appointing Council Members to serve as non-voting liaisons on the City’s Community Advisory Committees; and WHEREAS, the City Council liaisons to the City’s Community Advisory Committees are established in Section 8.3 in the City Council Rules of Procedure; and WHEREAS, the City Council wants to discontinue the role of Council Member Liaisons to Emeryville Community Advisory Committees/Commissions; and WHEREAS, Section 2.17 of the City Council Rules of Procedure establishes attendance requirements at City Council meetings for certain Department Heads; and WHEREAS, Department Head attendance at City Council meetings should be determined by the items on the agenda or as directed by the City Manager; and WHEREAS, from time to time as needed, the City Council amends the Rules of Procedure to reflect updates to procedures or to add requested revisions as directed by the City Council; and now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby amends and adopts the City Council Rules of Procedure in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A.
