RESOLUTION NO. 23-04
Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Purchase Two Ford Explorer Police Vehicles, In An Amount Not To Exceed $113,325.58, From Folsom Lake Ford And Emergency Patrol Vehicle Equipment From Pursuit North, At An Estimated Cost Of $32,003.78 WHEREAS, public safety requires that police officers be provided with vehicles that are safe to operate and free of maintenance problems; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department sought a bid from the Ford dealer that was awarded the State of California’s contract for the purchase of Ford Explorer Police Interceptor HEV vehicles, State of California Contract # 1-22-23-14C; and WHEREAS, the City has a Vehicle Replacement Program for the scheduled replacement of police vehicles after five years of service; and
WHEREAS, funds have been identified in the City’s Vehicle Replacement Fund (Fund 660) to replace two Police Department patrol vehicles; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville to authorize the City Manager to purchase two Ford Explorer Police Interceptor HEV vehicles from Folsom Lake Ford in an amount not to exceed $113,325.58 and emergency vehicle equipment from Pursuit North at an additional estimated cost of $32,003.78 and to appropriate said funds from Fund 660.
