I grew up in a small suburb just outside of Portland, Oregon, a place where we all knew each other'; s names and we helped each other whenever and wherever we could. When I moved to Berkeley for my undergraduate studies in 2016, and evidently spent a lot of time in San Francisco, I felt I lost some of that deeper connection to my town and my neighbors. After living in San Francisco for the past year and a half, my partner and I finally decided to settle down and buy a home in Emeryville. I have loved the City of Emeryville ever since I moved to California six years ago. I feel at home here, from sunset to hanging out in the Public Market on the weekends. I am passionate about community development and honoring the community's past and my education at UC Berkeley gave me a leep understanding of the needs of this area - both in and out of the classroom. I am a creative am tenacious about finding a solution that works for everyone. As a marketer at an early stage startup in the East Bay, I have learned a great deal about wearing many hats, rolling up ny sleeves and helping where needed - even if it isn't in the job description. I care deeply for the people in my life and in my community. I am ready to take that passion even further and serve on our City Council and bring a compassionate, understanding
