RESOLUTION NO. 23-45
Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Amending The Membership Of The Commission On Aging From Nine Members To Seven; And Amending The FY2022-23 Local Roster Of Boards, Commissions And Committees Accordingly
WHEREAS, the Commission on Aging has had two vacancies since June 2022; and WHEREAS, in March 2023, two additional members resigned due to in-person meeting requirements, bringing the total number of vacancies to four; and WHEREAS, the most recent commissions and committee recruitment failed to yield any applicants for this Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Commission on Aging will continue to meet monthly at 10:00 a.m. at the Senior Center, located at 4321 Salem Street, Emeryville, California; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville to amend the membership composition for the Commission on Aging to seven members; and, be it, further RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the FY2022-23 Local Roster of Boards, Commission and Committees is hereby amended to reflect the amendments.

Committee Facts Committee members shall receive no compensation. However, members may receive reimbursement for actual expenses incidental to carrying out the duties of the office, provided that they have first received specific City Council authorization for, and can verify, the expenditure and its purpose. City of Emeryville elected officials may not serve on this Committee. The City of Emeryville does not specifically prohibit concurrent service on more than one committee, provided, however, that the Government Code prohibition against incompatible offices shall apply. If a request were made to serve on more than one committee, a determination would be made as to whether that service would be allowable.
