RESOLUTION NO. 23-98
Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Execute All Master Agreements, Program Supplemental Agreements, Fund Exchange Agreements, Fund Transfer Agreements, And Any Amendments Thereto With California Department Of Transportation
WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville (“City”) is eligible to receive Federal and/or State funding for certain Transportation Projects, through the California Department of Transportation (“Caltrans”); and
WHEREAS, Master Agreements, Program Supplemental Agreements, Fund Exchange Agreements and/or Fund Transfer Agreements need to be executed with Caltrans before such funds could be claimed; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to delegate authorization to execute these agreements and any amendments thereto the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, in order to execute funding agreements with Caltrans, the state requires a resolution from the City Council that is either specific to the project or doesn’t specify any type of project, as in a blanket resolution; and
WHEREAS, this blanket resolution can be used for nearly all other Caltrans funded or managed projects where the City applies for grant funding; and WHEREAS, the blanket resolution will save staff time for bringing in funding agreements for projects that have already been vetted and approved by City Council; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the City Manager is authorized to execute all Master Agreements, Program Supplemental Agreements, Fund Exchange Agreements, Fund Transfer Agreements, and any amendments thereto with Caltrans.
