Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Approving The Scope Of Work For And Authorizing The City Engineer To Advertise For Public Bids For The Construction Of Sanitary Sewer Spot Repairs As Part Of The Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Program, Fiscal Year 2023/2024, Project No. 15511005 WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville, along with other East Bay jurisdictions, is under a Consent Decree with the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to improve the City’s sanitary sewer collection system to reduce infiltration and inflow during wet weather; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) adopted by the City Council in June 2023 includes funding for the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Program, CIP No. 15511005, CIP Book No. SS-01; and
WHEREAS, for Fiscal Year 2023/24, the rehabilitation includes eight (8) spot repairs at various locations throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, rehabilitation of the sewer spot repairs may include trenchless construction, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), open trench, or other construction methods; and WHEREAS, once the City Engineer has reviewed and approved the plans and specifications they will be ready to advertise for Public Bids; now, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby approves the scope of work for the Sanitary Sewer Spot Repairs as Part of the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Program, Fiscal Year 2023/24, Project No. 15511005, CIP Book No. SS-01; and be it, further
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the City Engineer is hereby authorized to advertise said project for Public Bids once the City Engineer has approved the plans and specifications.
