Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Accepting $40,000 In Grant Funding From Caltrans For Completing A Local Roadway Safety Plan WHEREAS, in February 2020, the City of Emeryville applied for $40,000 of Local Roadway Safety Plan (“LRSP”) grant funding for a Local Roadway Safety Plan to be completed with a $5,000 match from the City; and
WHEREAS, in October 16, 2020, the Department of Transportation of the State of California (“Caltrans”) approved $40,000 of grant funding for the “City of Emeryville Local Roadway Safety Plan”; and
WHEREAS, Caltrans is responsible for administering funding as part of the Highway Safety Improvement Program (“HSIP”); and
WHEREAS, before Caltrans will make funds available, Caltrans and City of Emeryville will need to enter into a Program Supplement Agreement (Exhibit A) to establish terms and conditions applicable to City of Emeryville when receiving funds for the “City of Emeryville Local Roadway Safety Plan”; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager will be authorized to sign the Program Supplement Agreement to establish terms and conditions applicable to City of Emeryville when receiving funds for the “City of Emeryville Local Roadway Safety Plan” through a separate blanket resolution for all Caltrans agreements; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the City accepts $40,000 in grant funding from Caltrans for completing a Local Roadway Safety Plan.
