Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing Application For, And Receipt Of, Up To $136,000 In Grant Funds From Alameda County Area Agency On Aging Supportive Services Program For Senior Center Activities And Authorizing The City Manager To Execute Funding Agreements Through June 30, 2026 With The Alameda County Area Agency On Aging And To Appropriate The Funds To Account Number 5460-51100
WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville has long provided programs for older adults through the Emeryville Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, the Emeryville Senior Center desires to continue such services to assist older adults in the community with a special emphasis on low-income minority elders; and WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville applied for and received a grant from the Alameda County Area Agency on Aging for services to seniors through 2026; and WHEREAS, the City is required to execute the proposed funding agreement to receive the remaining three years’ of grant funding, not to exceed $136,000; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby authorizes the application for, and receipt of, up to $136,000 from Alameda County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for senior center activities and authorizes the City Manager to execute funding agreements through June 30, 2026, with the Alameda County Area Agency on Aging and to appropriate said funds to account number 5460-51100.
