Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Adopting The City Council Regular Meeting Calendar For February 2024 Through January 2025 WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville has set the observed City holiday schedule for 2024; and
WHEREAS, on December 20, 2022, the City Council of the City of Emeryville adopted Resolution No. 22-180, setting a regular meeting schedule for February 2023 through January 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to set a regular meeting schedule for February 2024 through January 2025 in accordance with the City’s observed holiday schedule; and WHEREAS, as established in the City Council’s Rules of Procedure, under Section 2.2, the City Council convenes on the first and third Tuesday of each month, unless cancelled due to an insufficient number of agenda items; and
WHEREAS, historically, the City Council has not convened during the month of August nor on the first Tuesday of January; and
WHEREAS, the City Council historically considers major religious holiday observances when planning its proposed regular meeting schedule; and WHEREAS, the City Council Chambers will be undergoing extensive audio and visual upgrades during the month of January 2024, whereby the scheduled meeting of January 16, 2024, will be moved to convene at the Emeryville Center of Community Life, Building A Community Room, located at 4731 San Pablo Avenue, Emeryville, California; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the calendar of City Council regular meetings for February 2024 through January 2025 is hereby adopted and attached hereto as Exhibit A.
