Second Reading And Adoption Of An Ordinance Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Approving And Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into And Execute A Lease Disposition And Development Agreement Between The City Of Emeryville And EAH, Inc. And Related Ground Leases For The Development And Operation Of An Affordable Housing Project At 5890, 5900 And 6150 Christie Avenue (APNs 049-1493-003, 049-1493-004 And 049-1493-005) And Authorizing The City Manager To Take Action To Effectuate The Lease Disposition and Development Agreement And Related Ground Leases (CEQA Determination: Exempt Pursuant State CEQA Guidelines Sections 15268(a) And 15332)
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the above-referenced ordinance approving and authorizing the City Manager to execute a Lease Disposition and Development Agreement ("LDDA") and associated Ground Leases with EAH, Inc. for the development and operation of an Affordable Family Housing Project on the City-owned property at 5890, 5900 and 6150 Christie Avenue.
DISCUSSION
The City Council adopted the first reading of the attached ordinance on January 16, 2024 with no changes. The staff report for the January 16, 2024 meeting, which provides a detailed explanation of the proposed ordinance, is attached for reference.
