Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Allocate The Additional Monies Needed For The Purchase Of An Electric Vehicle (EV) Bus For The Amount Of $15,178.90 From The Vehicle Replacement Fund 660-91200 Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the above-entitled resolution.
Background
On December 12, 2023, the City Council approved Resolution No. 22-158 accepting the award funds from Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust to purchase an Electric Vehicle (EV) Bus in the amount not to exceed $173,118 based on the sales agreement from GreenPower Motor Company (Attachment 1).
DISCUSSION
The sales agreement did not include sales taxes on the vehicle, nor a discount for a registration fee over-charge on invoice #1231. The final invoice total is $188,296.90 (Attachment 2). Staff recommends that the difference of $15,178.90 be covered from the Vehicle Replacement Fund 660-91200.
Fiscal Impact
The remaining balance of $15,178.90 will be charged to the Vehicle Replacement Fund 660-91200, as these funds have already been designated for vehicle replacement through the allocated budget in the replacement schedule.

There was no communication with the public.
Conclusion
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the above-entitled resolution.
