Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into A First Amendment To The Professional Services Contract With Patatas, LLC. To Increase Food Service To Include Friday Meals At A Cost Not To Exceed An Additional $17,000 And Increase 5200-73600 Food Supplies By $6,400 And Transfer $23,400 From Measure F Fund 267-99650 To Fund 230-69994 WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville provides childcare services at the Emeryville Child Development Center (“Center”), located at 1220 53rd Street, Emeryville, California; and WHEREAS, the City desires to provide a meal program for the children enrolled at the Center; and
WHEREAS, the Center is required to provide meals to all participants as part of the program and as a requirement for receiving funding from the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor entered into a Professional Services Contract dated September 6, 2023 (“Contract”) with Patatas, LLC. to provide meal service at the Center from Monday through Thursday; and
WHEREAS, The City and Contractor desire to enter into a First Amendment to the Contract for the purpose of increasing the services provided by the Contractor to include Friday lunch meals as set forth in Exhibit A-1; and
WHEREAS, Patatas, LLC’s proposal meets the qualifications of the ideal food vendor, and the proposal includes all the required items; and
WHEREAS, Staff requests an increase in the 5200-73600 Food Supplies budget in the amount of $23,400 to cover the increased cost of the food vendor contract ($17,000) and with the weekly breakfast and snacks ($6,400) and transfer $23,400 from Measure F Fund 267-99650 to Fund 230-69994.
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into the attached First Amendment to the Professional Services Contract with Patatas, LLC and authorizes the transfer of $23,400 from Measure F Fund 267-99650 to Fund 230-69994.
