Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into A Three (3) Year Contract In The Amount Of $324,720.00 With Sweeping Corp Of America (SCA) For Sweeping City Owned Streets, In The Amounts Of $108,240.00 For FY2024-25, $108,240.00 For FY 2025-26, And $108,240.00 For FY 2026-27 And Authorizing The City Manager To Execute Up To Two (2) Additional One Year Extensions In The Amount Of $113,652.00 For FY2027- 28 And $119,334.00 For FY2028-29 Contingent Upon The City Council Appropriating Funds For A Total Contract Amount Not To Exceed $557,706 WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for street sweeping services on March 1, 2024; and
WHEREAS, on April 4, 2024, the City opened two responses to the RFP for City Street Sweeping services; and
WHEREAS, the response from Sweeping Corp of America (SCA) was deemed to be the most qualified responder to the RFP; and
WHEREAS, there is sufficient funding in the approved Five-Year Capital Improvement Program budget to support contract services from Fiscal Years 2024-25 through 2026- 27, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the attached three-year contract with Sweeping Corp of America (SCA) in the amount of $324,720.00; and be it further
RESOLVED, The City Manager is authorized to execute up to two (2) additional one year extensions in the amount of $113,652.00 for FY 2027- 28 and $119,334.00 for FY 2028- 29 contingent upon the City Council appropriating funds for the applicable fiscal years for a total contract amount not to exceed $557,706.00; and, be it, further RESOLVED, that the City Manager is authorized to enter into minor amendments provided they do not increase the total compensation of the contract.
