Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into A Three (3) Year Professional Services Contract In The Amount Of $360,000 With Iteris, Inc. For On-Call Traffic Engineering Consultant Services For Fiscal Years 2024/25, 2025/26, And 2026/27, And Authorizing The City Manager To Execute Up To Two (2) Additional One-Year Extensions Not To Exceed A Cost-Of-Living Adjustment No Greater Than The Consumer Price Index Each Year, Contingent Upon The City Council Appropriating Funds For The Applicable Fiscal Year, For A Total Contract Amount Not To Exceed $600,000 WHEREAS, In April 2024, the Public Works Department invited proposals from qualified firms to provide On-Call Traffic Engineering Consultant Services; and WHEREAS, the recommended consultant will provide on-call traffic engineering services for the City for three (3) years, plus two (2) possible one-year extensions up to a maximum total contract term of five (5) years; and
WHEREAS, four companies responded with proposals in response to the Request For Proposals; and
WHEREAS, after a lengthy review process, staff recommend that the City enter into a contract with Iteris, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, there are adequate funds available in the Public Works Operating Budget for Professional Services (Fund #101, Accounts 4050-80050), and the Traffic Signals and Street Lights Capital Improvement Project (Fund #475, CIP #SUT-03); and WHEREAS, there are adequate funds in the General Fund (Fund #475) to cover the immediate costs of review of private development projects which will be reimbursed by the private developer; and
WHEREAS, continuation of the Contract for additional years is contingent upon the City Council appropriating funds for the applicable fiscal year(s) and the rate sheet will be adjusted each fiscal year to provide the Contractor with a cost-of-living adjustment not to exceed the Bay Area Consumer Price Index; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the City Manager is authorized to enter into a three (3) year Professional Services Contract in the amount of $360,000 with Iteris, Inc. for On-Call Traffic Engineering Consultant Services for Fiscal Years 2024/25, 2025/26, and 2026/27; and, be it, further RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the City Manager is authorized to execute up to two (2) additional one-year extensions not to exceed a five percent cost of living adjustment each year, contingent upon the City Council appropriating funds for the applicable Fiscal Year, for a total contract value not to exceed $600,000; and, be it, further
