Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Execute A Professional Services Contract With Andrew Davidson DBA Second Sight Video & Multimedia For Fiscal Years 2024-2025 And 2025-2026, To Provide Broadcasting, Recording And Related Services For A Total Amount Of $116,000.00
WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville (“City”) regularly broadcasts and records the meetings of the City Council and related legislative bodies, Planning Commission, and the ECCL Governance Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City also requires a variety of video-related services, such as the recording and broadcasting of community meetings and events, as well as the inclusion of special features and community affairs programming on its Cable Television Access Channel 27 (ETV), and the City’s YouTube Channel; and
WHEREAS, the City finds that specialized knowledge, skills, and training are necessary to provide the above services; and
WHEREAS, as a result, no competitive procurement was followed since the Council concurs that good cause exists for waiving the City’s competitive bidding requirements due to the technical expertise required; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that Andrew Davidson dba Second Sight Video & Multimedia is qualified to render such services; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Emeryville that the City Manager is authorized to enter into a Professional Services Contract hereto attached with Andrew Davidson dba Second Sight Video & Multimedia for Fiscal Years 2024-2025 and 2025- 2026, to provide broadcasting, recording and related services for $58,000.00 each fiscal year for a total amount of $116,000.00.
