Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Adopting The Amended Expenditure And Reserve Policies For Measure F Funds
WHEREAS, the Expenditure and Reserve Policy for Measure F was amended by the City Council on February 21, 2023 to prioritize the eligible uses of Measure F funds, and establish a target reserve balance of $4 million for use in supporting the Emeryville Child Development Center in the event of economic uncertainty; and WHEREAS, the proposed changes to the Expenditure and Reserve Policy for Measure F was reviewed by the Budget & Governance Committee on August 13, 2024; and WHEREAS, the Budget & Governance Committee recommended that the Measure F Reserve Fund monies in excess of the $4 million set aside for the Emeryville Child Development Center be reserved for additional public safety staff positions with 50% for additional police officer positions or public safety support positions, and 50% for additional firefighter positions; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby adopts the Amended Expenditure and Reserve Policy for Measure F.
