Why are you interested in serving on this Board, Commission or Committee? My experience and passion for growing businesses through providing a clean, safe and accessible environment at destination locations like Pier 39 and Fishermans Wharf could be a great asset to the City of Emeryville. The City has grown exponentially recently, and I understand how services need to scale in order to handle the influx of new people. My experience with homeless alleviation would also be an asset to the City.

PLANNING COMMISSION APPLICANTS ONLY
Please provide a short (300 words or less) statement discussing your ideas and attitudes about planning in Emeryville. Please consider issues such as traffic, industrial and commercial development density, affordable housing, maintaining community diversity and jobs/housing balance.

The City of Emeryville is currently building faster than it is being occupied, and I would like to make the City a more attractive place for business and people to find a home. As these offices, labs and apartments get filled, the city will need to increase the services offered, as well as number of affordable housing units being built. Emeryville should not cost the same as San Francisco in housing, and we should make Emeryville more attractive to businesses to move here. By keeping the streets helping the houseless, making housing affordable and keeping Emeryville an attractive place for businesses to move to, we can increase revenue into the City, and therefore, the funding for ongoing services needed to continue to grow Emeryville.
