Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Accepting A Donation In The Amount Of $10,000 From Stanford Health Care And A Donation In The Amount Of $2,500 From Ava Community Energy To The Community Services Department To Support Annual Community Events
WHEREAS, the City of Emeryville’s Community Services Department offers community events where people congregate to partake in recreational and social activities as well as health and educational programs; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Policy, any monetary or in-kind donations to the City, valued at more than $250, must be approved by resolution by the City Council; and WHEREAS, Stanford Health Care’s public private partnership with the City of Emeryville and the donation of $10,000 for the purchase of goods and services providing funding to support community events in Emeryville;
WHEREAS, Ava Community Energy’s public private partnership with the City of Emeryville and the donation of $2,500 for the purchase of goods, provides funding to support to community events in Emeryville, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby accepts a donation in the amount of $10,000 from Stanford Health Care and $2,500 from Ava Community Energy to subsidize the operating cost for the Harvest Festival and Healthy Families Festival in 2024/2025 and appropriates and allocates said funds to 5410-62600.
