Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Apply For A Grant And Accept The Funds If Awarded From The County Of Alameda Social Service Agency To Provide Funding To Support The Vital Work Of The Emeryville Child Development Center In The Amount Of Fifteen Thousand And Five Hundred Dollars ($15,500), And All Related Contract Documents And Any Future Amendments And Appropriate Said Funds When Received To Account 230- 53600
WHEREAS, the Emeryville Child Development Center (ECDC) has continued to provide quality childcare after the Covid-19 pandemic;
WHEREAS, this grant provides an opportunity to fund childcare access, affordability, and stability and is one of many steps ECDC is taking to respond to the community’s call to provide more safe, positive, and productive programming for Emeryville children; now, therefore be it;
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville authorizes the City Manager to apply for a grant and accept the funds if awarded from the County of Alameda Social Services Agency for additional funding for ECDC in the amount of $15,500 to enhance childcare access, affordability and stability after the Covid-19 pandemic, and sign all related contract documents and any future amendments and appropriate said funds when received to account 230-53600.
