Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Approving An Employment Agreement Between The City Of Emeryville And LaTanya Bellow As City Manager And Authorizing The Mayor To Execute Said Agreement On Behalf Of The City
WHEREAS, on September 5, 2024, the former City Manager resigned; and WHEREAS, on September 9, 2024, the City Council appointed Adam W. Politzer, a retired annuitant, to the position of Interim City Manager for the City of Emeryville under Government Code Section 21221(h); and
WHEREAS, the position of City Manager of the City of Emeryville also fulfills duties as General Manager for the City of Emeryville Successor Agency, Executive Director of the Emeryville Public Financing Authority, and Executive Director of the Emeryville Community Development Commission; and
WHEREAS, the executive search ended with over 45 candidates applying for the City Manager position; several candidates were selected to participate in an extensive interview process for the positions; finalists were identified and candidate LaTanya Bellow was selected to fill the City Manager position; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Emeryville through their designated representatives, and LaTanya Bellow, have negotiated the terms of an Employment Agreement for a three-year term commencing January 6, 2025, as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby approves an Employment Agreement between the City of Emeryville and LaTanya Bellow as City Manager, for a three-year period commencing January 6, 2025, in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A.
