Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Emeryville Authorizing The City Manager To Issue A Purchase Order To SHI In The Amount Of $81,378.84 For The Purchase Of Seventeen New Computers And To Replace The Existing Computers In The Police Department’s Vehicle Fleet
WHEREAS, the Emeryville Police Department’s existing in-vehicle computers are at end of life and out of warranty; and
WHEREAS, the in-vehicle computers serve a vital role in the daily operations of the City’s Police Department; and
WHEREAS, City staff have determined Panasonic CF-33 Toughbooks are the best fit for the City’s requirements; and
WHEREAS, SHI is an authorized Panasonic reseller that provides government contract rates; and
WHEREAS, the City’s Technology Fund (670), established for the replacement of IT equipment has adequate funding for this purchase; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Emeryville hereby authorizes the City Manager to issue a purchase order to SHI in the amount of $81,378.84 for the purchase of seventeen new computers to replace the existing computers in the Police Department’s vehicle fleet.
